A glance at nominations issued by British Columbia Express Entry in 2018
The majority Express Entry British Columbia nominations received last year were in the Skilled Worker category. 3100 candidates were nominated by British Columbia in federal Express entry system for Canadian PR in 2018 through its BCPNP program.
Majority of the nominations were issued through the Express Entry BC (EEBC) Skilled Worker Category, which is open to foreign skilled workers with work experience and a valid job offer in a high demand occupation in the province.
Rest of the 936 and 165 nominations were issued through EEBC – International Graduate Category and EEBC – International Post-Graduate Category respectively.

Express Entry British Columbia categories allow BC PNP to select candidates from Express Entry and nominate them for permanent residence. The main advantage for Express Entry candidates who get the provincial nomination is that they get 600 additional points which get added to their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which makes the candidate more likely for an invitation to apply for Canadian PR.
